Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to uphold the reliability and efficiency of advanced production systems.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with continuous improvement projects. The role requires independent work on challenging mechanical and electrical issues while collaborating with engineers to optimize system performance.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of work experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial/electrical production equipment in a manufacturing or operations environment or possession of a relevant certification or degree in lieu of experience.
Intermediate experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance tasks like lubrication, cleaning, and inspections.
Familiarity with electronics such as sensors, PLCs, remote I/Os, servo drives, and VFDs.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production, material-handling and high-tech automated equipment in the facility, as per work orders and documentation.
Diagnose and troubleshoot assembly systems and equipment; respond to service requests with minimal supervision.
Operate, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical assembly equipment including conveyors and robotics.
Document and maintain work history and parts inventory; support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
