Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician II for the Industrial Power Systems Division to keep our facilities reliable and productive. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair complex equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement projects, including HVAC and plumbing tasks.

The role emphasizes teamwork with engineering, operations, and safety, with a first shift schedule. Resumes are encouraged; relocation is not offered at this time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and basic maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspections.
• Familiar with electronics including PLCs, sensors, remote I/Os, servo drives, and VFDs.
• Knowledge of industrial electricity with motors, protective devices, and three-phase power.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on facilities equipment per work orders and specs.
• Respond to operational calls and diagnose problems with equipment.
• Repair electrical and mechanical assemblies and troubleshoot when needed.
• Maintain accurate work history and parts inventory via documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, logistics, and EHS to maximize uptime.
