Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Sanford, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the 2nd shift (2:15 PM – 10:15 PM).

The role performs preventive maintenance on process equipment per CMMS, responds to work orders, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance while supporting weekend and plant shutdown activities. Candidates should have at least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or relevant certification, read blueprints, and have basic electrical skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/equipment diagrams.
• Basic to intermediate electrical skills and use of common maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on process equipment per CMMS.
• Respond to work orders and provide feedback while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Assist with electrical installations and repairs; support weekend/holiday plant activities.
• Adhere to safety guidelines including LOTO procedures and PPE usage.
