Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Texas is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to ensure the reliability of our advanced production systems.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement projects in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

• 3 years of maintenance experience in industrial/electrical production equipment in manufacturing/operations
• Intermediate experience using hand tools, power tools, lubrication, cleaning, inspections
• Mechanical knowledge of machines, pneumatics, hydraulics, gears, bearings, drive components

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment per work orders
• Respond to troubleshooting calls for assembly systems and equipment
• Operate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical assembly like forklifts and conveyors
• Know single-phase and three-phase power, motors, protective devices, and photo sensors
• Respond to service requests with minimal supervision
• Provide on-the-job training to level 1 maintenance technicians
• Work with maintenance team to maximize uptime
• Monitor maintenance checklists for efficient operation
• Document work orders for history and parts inventory
• Create and resolve Continuous Improvement Cards
• Document and correct safety issues to maintain safety
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, logistics, EHS
