Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join our on-site team in a dynamic apartment community. You will handle work orders independently, perform preventative maintenance, and support day-to-day upkeep to ensure our communities meet Hawthorne’s high standards.

The ideal candidate will have HVAC certification, a valid driver’s license, and prior apartment maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• EPA/HVAC Certification.
• CPO Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Assure all service requests are completed by Hawthorne standards.
• Repair and restore vacant apartments to make ready status in preparation for the next move-in as per company standard.
• Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning.
• Completion of preventative maintenance according to the guidelines outlined in company policy.
• Perform building and common area upkeep daily; keep grounds neat and free of litter, debris, and pet waste.
• Maintain shop appearance to facilitate quick assessment of supply inventory.
• Promote good professional relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff; display a friendly and courteous attitude.
• Conduct on-call emergency service rotation as scheduled.
• Follow safety guidelines in accordance with OSHA and company policy and standards.
• Complete special projects as needed.
