Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician in our Iowa facility to diagnose and repair production equipment across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, welding and refrigeration systems.

You will maintain plant machinery and support additional duties as required to keep operations running smoothly. Candidates should have strong mechanical skills, be able to read and follow instructions, and maintain excellent attendance.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical skills including but not limited to repair of gearboxes, bearings, etc.
• Ability to read and write and comprehend written instructions.
• Excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment & systems (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, welding, refrigeration).
• Maintain all plant equipment.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.
