Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our Maintenance Department. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components. Training and on-the-job learning are provided, with occasional overtime.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus 6 months of relevant experience; a 2-year technical degree is preferred. You will work Monday–Friday with potential night/weekend overtime, and must be able to lift up

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old. Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• 6 months+ experience repairing industrial processing equipment in production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot industrial equipment using hand/power tools and measurement devices.
• Ensure safe operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Read blueprints and engineering specs; perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Document maintenance activities and use CMMS for logs and records.
