Job summary

Bell Partners in Woodbridge, VA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine interior and exterior maintenance, address repair requests, and help keep the community in excellent condition for residents and staff.

You will work under the Maintenance Supervisor, coordinate with vendors for landscaping, painting, or asphalt, and follow all safety/OSHA requirements while maintaining resident privacy and safe working areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• HVAC, EPA, and/or CPO certifications may be required in many communities.
• 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a similar facility preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values.
• Basic understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff.
• Perform routine interior and exterior maintenance.
• Respond to repair requests and maintenance concerns.
• Report equipment malfunctions to Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Maintain resident privacy and receive proper authority before entering resident apartments.
• Ensure that all maintenance items are kept in a safe area to prevent injuries.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions.
• Work with vendors as instructed (landscaping, painting, asphalt).
• Follow all safety/OSHA requirements.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
