Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is hiring a maintenance technician to address apartment and property maintenance duties while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining curb appeal. You will perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry and HVAC, and support preventative maintenance and safety programs at the property.

You will manage work orders, inspect grounds, assist with emergencies, and collaborate with leadership to ensure resident satisfaction and compliant

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
• Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
• Maintain professional appearance and comply with uniform policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring and carpentry tasks.
• Coordinate general carpentry like wallboard repair, cabinet replacement and tile work.
• Handle preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting and other systems.
• Maintain work orders and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds and common areas for safety and cleanliness; identify issues.
• Assist with property emergencies such as snow removal and weather events.
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly with leadership.
• Adhere to safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Foster courteous, professional interactions with residents and teams.
