Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Ventura, CA to perform apartment and property maintenance with a focus on safety, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry tasks; conducting preventative maintenance; and maintaining clean, safe common areas. Strong customer service and organizational skills required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Address apartment and property maintenance duties as directed by supervisor or property manager.
• Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds as needed.
• Carry out preventative maintenance including painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, and elevator systems.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds and common areas for safety and cleanliness; identify issues for repair.
• Assist with property emergencies such as snow removal and severe weather events.
• Communicate with maintenance leadership about issues and actions taken.
• Promote safety and risk management per company policies.
• Participate in after-hours on-call maintenance and address emergencies promptly.
• Maintain professional demeanor and interact courteously with residents.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and other properties.
