Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service apartment communities. You will handle a variety of repairs and preventative maintenance to keep properties safe and appealing for residents.

Key duties include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds tasks, plus on-call support for emergencies. A high school diploma and a year of related experience are required, with a focus on safe, courteous resident interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Address a wide range of apartment and property maintenance duties as assigned by supervision.
• Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds as allowed by state guidelines.
• Carry out carpentry tasks such as wallboard, countertops, finish carpentry, window/glass, doors/locks, ceramic tile repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler systems, pool, and elevator maintenance.
• Maintain work orders to ensure timely completion and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds and common areas for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance needs.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow removal, fires, floods) and communications with leadership.
• Promote safety and risk management following company policies and regulations.
