Job summary

UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Staff member for Red Bud Estates Community. The role focuses on community groundskeeping, basic home repairs, and keeping common areas safe and well-maintained.

You will operate power tools and light heavy equipment, perform inspections, and ensure safety standards while delivering responsive service to residents. Full-time, with occasional overtime and weekend duties.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Broad experience in home repairs, plumbing and grounds maintenance.
• Experience with snow plow operations.
• Ability to prioritize safety and to work independently or in a team.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive UMH vehicles through the community to inspect common areas daily.
• Record violations observed during daily inspections.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Maintain community grounds including mowing, weed eating, and snow removal.
• Keep work areas clean and safe and ensure clear aisles and exits.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained and serviced regularly.
• Take daily readings from water plant and inspect pump stations in applicable communities.
• Keep logs of all work performed in the community.
• Complete periodic safety trainings and follow Hazard Communication Program.
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely.
• Follow lockout procedures.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers and residents.
• May assist with new home installations.
• All other duties as assigned.
