Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our community grounds safe, clean, and well-maintained. You will handle preventative maintenance, assist with home refurbishments, and respond to resident requests.

You will read water meters, support new home delivery, and help ensure safety through OSHA-compliant practices. A valid in-state license and a high school diploma are preferred; HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing experience is a plus. This is an on-site role with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Valid in-state driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous home refurbishment or make-ready experience preferred.
• OSHA trainings or completed certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency with industry software and electronic devices/tablets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work-orders, and home refurbishments.
• Keep the community grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and free of debris.
• Complete all work in a timely manner, without sacrificing quality or safety standards.
• Respond to after-hour emergency calls according to on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify, and resolve leaks within the community as applicable.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Aid in new home delivery and set-up and report any warranty/follow-up work to management.
• Deliver resident notices as requested by management.
• Participate in all required team/safety meetings.
• Uphold OSHA standards and maintain Personal Protective Equipment as required by State law.
