Job summary

RPM Living is looking for a Maintenance Technician to handle interior and exterior upkeep of apartment communities in Plano, TX. You will perform custodial duties, landscaping, make-ready preparation, and basic repairs to maintain property aesthetics.

You will operate power washing tools, floor scrubbers, and pool care basics while ensuring safety and timely response to emergencies. The role requires on-site work with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• General knowledge in skilled trades such as construction/installation, repair, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular custodial duties and maintain common areas.
• Carry out grounds work including trash removal and power washing as directed.
• Clean breezeways, mopping floors, and wipe down doors and handrails.
• Assist in basic landscaping like trimming, watering, and irrigation checks.
• Prepare make-ready units and remove trash from vacant apartments (trash outs).
• Operate equipment safely: power washer, blowers, floor scrubbers, carpet cleaner, sweepers, and golf carts.
• Assist in pool maintenance and basic chemical handling.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and after-hours maintenance requests.
• Complete work orders within 24–48 hours and update records.
• Perform repairs to maintain aesthetics and structural integrity, addressing damage promptly.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental policies and report needs.
