RHP Properties, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Glen Acres community in Wichita, Kansas, to perform general grounds and lawn maintenance and basic home repairs, for a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid operator’s license with a clean driving record and insurability.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.
• May need to provide own tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, and access restricted spaces.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment with minimal supervision.
• Tolerate exposure to various chemical compounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to ensure homes and community areas are in proper condition.
• Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager in a timely manner.
• Promote goodwill by courteous interactions with residents, prospective residents, visitors and staff.
• Identify deficiencies and take action with Community Manager approval.
• Maintain manicured grounds: weeds, leaves, flowers, shrubs, mulch, hedges, and trees as needed.
• Remove and dispose of garbage on grounds and resident sites to maintain appearance.
• Perform snow removal using snow blower, shovel, or plow as applicable.
• Notify Community Manager of improper waste disposal or bulky items needing pickup.
• Maintain inventories of maintenance and grounds equipment and supplies.
• Keep garage/storage areas orderly and clean; maintain equipment.
• Comply with health and safety laws to reduce accidents.
• Perform seasonal pre-maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Be available for on-call duties as needed.
• Assist in refurbishing Community Owned homes.
• Repair and maintain community water and sewer lines.
