Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and handle make-ready tasks for new move-ins across properties.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1 and II or Universal), a valid driver's license, and flexibility for after-hours calls. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, PTO, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications required (Type 1 and II or Universal).
• Valid driver’s license required to operate on-site vehicles/equipment.
• Other state/local certifications as required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and punch lists.
• Tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests in a timely, accurate manner for tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning, painting, and minor repairs as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• May inspect contractor work to verify quality and scope as required.
• Performs routine property inspections and communicates safety concerns to management.

Education

EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling

Valid driver’s license
