Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, and conduct make-ready tasks for vacant homes while following policies and safety requirements.

This role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license for golf-cart operation, and OSHA safety training, with opportunities

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1/II or Universal refrigerant certification is required.
• State and Local certifications as required by jurisdiction.
• OSHA safety training at minimum required safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects, repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Performs the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing by completing pre-move-out inspections, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Obtains materials, tools, and equipment by following procedures for accessing maintenance department items and re-ordering as needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to accurately document service requests.
• Maintains grounds and common areas by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and assisting in property upkeep.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing instead of replacing parts and using tools and materials efficiently.

Education
