Job summary

Greystar is hiring a maintenance technician to ensure buildings meet safety, cleanliness, and functional standards. The role handles work orders, preventive maintenance, make-ready tasks for vacant units, and inventory management, while supporting grounds and common areas and contributing to cost-control through efficient repairs.

The position requires EPA Type 1/II or Universal refrigerant certifications, a valid license, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, or holidays as

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance by diagnosing the defect and making repairs
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling, and inspections
• Follows procedures to access materials and track inventory, returning unused items and notifying for re-orders
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and debris removal
• Supports cost-control by fixing parts rather than replacing and using tools efficiently
• Inspects contractor work to verify quality, scope, and specifications
• Participates in routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management
