Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled building repairs, preventative maintenance, and make-ready tasks for vacant apartments. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, and maintain common areas to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1/II or Universal), a valid driver’s license, and state/local certifications as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits and a flexible schedule

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• State and Local certifications as required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance to meet standards.
• Perform the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting completed work.
• Access materials and supplies from the maintenance department, track inventory, return unused items, and notify the supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation to record and track service requests.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting tasks as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts and using tools correctly.
• May inspect contractor work to verify quality and scope; communicate safety and maintenance concerns to management.
