Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Washington, DC to ensure the property's physical areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, prepare vacant units for leasing, manage inventory, and maintain grounds and amenities while following safety policies and procedures. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required, and flexibility for call shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1 and II or Universal required for refrigerant recycling.
• Driver's license required to operate vehicle on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Accesses materials from the maintenance department, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Documents and tracks service requests with timely, accurate records.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; assists with cleaning, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing instead of replacing parts and using tools correctly.
• Adheres to safety policies and attends routine safety meetings; reports accidents promptly.
• May inspect contractors’ work to verify quality and scope.
• Assists in routine property inspections and communicates property needs to management.
