Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address apartment and property maintenance, ensuring exceptional curb appeal and customer service. You’ll handle repairs, inspections, and preventative tasks under supervision, while supporting emergency responses and safety protocols.

The role emphasizes on-site duties, strong communication with residents, and adherence to company safety standards. A driving permit, English literacy, and carpentry skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and general carpentry skills.
• Must complete Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, appliance, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance as directed by supervision.
• Carpentry tasks including wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass, door/lock, tile repairs.
• Proactive preventative maintenance (siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator, etc.).
• Verify work orders are completed per company standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds and amenities for safety, cleanliness, and needed repairs.
• Assist with emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and communicate issues to maintenance leadership.
• Adhere to safety rules and risk management policies; participate in after-hours on-call as required.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and curb appeal; interact professionally with residents.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, other properties, and agencies.
• Maintain professional demeanor and comply with uniform policy.
