Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain multifamily communities with a focus on quality service and resident satisfaction. You will diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems, perform make-readies, and help keep common areas safe and welcoming.

The role requires hands-on skills, on-call availability, reliable transportation, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience highly desired.
• Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address any emergencies.
• Reliable Transportation.
• A positive attitude, and the desire to learn and develop your skills.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel) internet and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service with every interaction and deliver high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service and preventative maintenance.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant homes and prepares leasing-ready units.
• Maintains grounds, common areas and amenities and performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting and expense control by fixing instead of replacing where possible.
• Follows procedures for obtaining materials and tracks inventory with the maintenance supervisor.
