Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical control systems, HVAC, suspension, and drive trains. The role involves on-site and road maintenance for a single fleet of advanced vehicles.

Expect to handle line welding, identify malfunctions with electronic tools, and perform basic tire work when required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a technician role with gasoline/diesel systems.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle components and systems on Class 1–8 vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance and on-site repairs.
• Provide road service when needed to return equipment to operation.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete required training.
