Job summary

Republic Services in Saint George, UT is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drive train and steering. You will work under supervision and support drivers on routes with state-of-the-art equipment.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and perform repairs.
• Understand work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Class 1-8 trucks or equivalent.
• ASE Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3–5 years of technician experience or graduation from automotive college/technical school soon.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and repair maintenance on vehicle components and systems, on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and braking systems; hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Light engine repair and maintenance.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• Heating and air conditioning.
• Welding and fabrication.
• Provide road service when necessary.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools.
• Complete company training programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
