Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems. You will work with a Lead Technician to service a single fleet with state-of-the-art vehicles.

Responsibilities include diagnosing multi-system issues, performing preventive maintenance, line welding, and providing road service when needed.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair multiple vehicle systems including diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, HVAC, and brakes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic line welding/fabrication as needed.
• Read work orders and apply standard labor time estimates.
• Certifications like ASE are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components and refuse bodies with hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Repair light engine, suspension, drivetrain and steering components.
• Perform road service to bring equipment back to operation promptly.
• Identify malfunctions with electronic tools and complete required training.
• Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
