Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to service our fleet of state-of-the-art refuse vehicles. You will perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, bodies, hydraulic and braking systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, and drivetrains.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on heavy/medium trucks or similar equipment.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus; CDL is a plus.
• 3-5 years in technician role or recent graduation from automotive college/technical school within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on vehicles on-site and on the road.
• Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, braking systems, engines, suspension, drive train, and HVAC.
• Provide safe road service when necessary to ensure equipment is returned to operation.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools.
• Complete company training programs.
• Follow company policies; other duties as assigned.
