Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose and repair multi-system issues on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics, electrical and braking systems. The role covers light engine work, HVAC, suspension, drive train, and occasional tire tasks.

Under supervision, you will perform preventive maintenance, on-site and roadside repairs, and participate in ongoing training to handle advanced technology.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of diagnosing multi-system issues and performing preventive maintenance.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on light/medium/heavy trucks or similar equipment; ASE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and repair maintenance on chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Repair light engines, suspensions, steering, brakes, HVAC and drive trains.
• Provide safe road service when required to ensure equipment is back in operation.
