Job summary

Enterprise is hiring for a Maintenance role at a district community in Washington, DC. You will perform routine and emergency maintenance to ensure a safe, attractive living environment and support resident satisfaction.

The position includes supervising tasks for apprentices/porters, basic trades skills, and on-call responsiveness within 30 minutes. Sign-on bonus is offered and benefits are part of the total rewards package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Basic skill in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair, and painting.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Type II or Universal (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong English reading and writing skills; communicate with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Tackle day-to-day service needs to maintain property condition and safety.
• Perform routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance and related upkeep.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Assist in apartment turnovers, repairs, renovations, painting, and cleaning of vacant units.
• Keep areas safe, tidy, and free of trash or debris; manage dumpster areas.
• Monitor property grounds and report maintenance concerns to management.
• Provide guidance to Maintenance Apprentices & Porters and participate in trainings.
• Respond to emergencies timely and participate in required trainings.
• Support other communities as assigned by management.
