We have an outstanding opportunity for a Maintenance Technician 3 at our plant located in Akron, CO. The primary tasks include:

  1. Repairing and maintaining production equipment throughout the facility.
  2. Performing daily service and maintenance of the facility and production equipment.
  3. Conducting tests and inspections for building systems and equipment.
  4. Responding to production trouble calls and troubleshooting down equipment.
  5. Supporting GHF BRC objectives and policies.
  6. Maintaining building security and documenting test results.
  7. Completing preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
  8. Participating on the emergency response team.
  9. Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment.
  10. Fabricating small jobs for the facility and performing basic janitorial tasks.
  11. Participating in on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend issues.

General Requirements include:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree +3-5 years’ experience, or Associates Degree +5-7 years’ experience, or 7-10 years of related experience.
  2. Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and industrial wiring.
  3. Proficiency with PC, laptop, and tablet using Windows/iOS software.
  4. Good communication skills; Spanish speaking/writing is a plus.
  5. Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently.
  6. Knowledge of janitorial, housekeeping, and maintenance tasks.
  7. Advanced welding skills and knowledge.
  8. Basic first aid knowledge.
  9. Comfort working at heights and with equipment such as PIT lifts or ladders.
  10. Experience with hand/power tools and measurement devices.
  11. Self-starter with minimal supervision; Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Job-specific skills required:

  1. Hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic systems, and air compressors.
  2. Testing with megohmmeters, voltmeters, and multi-meters.
  3. Troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment problems.
  4. Bearing analysis, installation, lubrication, gearboxes, and preventive maintenance.
  5. Rigging, packaging machines, robotics, automation, and motor controls.
  6. Use of engineering software and drawings.

Training, Certifications, and Licenses include:

  1. Boom lift, forklift, scissor lift, fall protection, confined space entry, LOTO, NFPA703E, NEC.
