Where Is The Work

This position has been designated as remote and work will be performed in the South Bend, IN area.

What You Will Do

This role is the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base including Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes. You will be commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. You will utilize your knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts. This position offers the opportunity to work with internal and external partners, from new facility setups to existing retrofits. Working directly for a leading manufacturer provides access to technical support, training on the latest technology, and career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end testing, start-up, commissioning, and servicing on projects.
  • Serving as the direct customer contact, ensuring satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems.
  • Coordinating with team leaders and customers to understand requirements, examine building layouts, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize work.
  • Using software, hand-tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
  • Enforcing safety standards and maintaining security of assets.
  • Working overtime and occasional overnight stays as needed.
What You Will Bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 5+ years HVAC experience preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices.
  • EPA Certification preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to operate a vehicle safely.
  • Ability to wear safety gear and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Physical ability to lift weights, climb ladders, and work at heights.
  • Exposure to variable weather and environmental conditions.

This position is designated as Safety Sensitive.

Compensation

$25-40 per hour based on experience, with additional earning potential through our Technician commission program.
