Maintenance TechnicianSkana AluminumSkana Aluminum is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving the equipment and systems critical to our aluminum manufacturing operations.This position plays an essential role in keeping production running safely and efficiently by minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and completing high-quality maintenance and repair work.Key ResponsibilitiesTake a proactive approach to plant maintenance to increase equipment uptime, reliability, and overall production efficiency.Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance in a timely, thorough manner.Plan, lay out, install, troubleshoot, and maintain complex machinery and systems, including motors, rollers, gear reducers, mandrels, and other mechanical components.Respond quickly to production equipment issues and communicate clearly with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other industrial systems.Install and connect new machinery according to manufacturer specifications, including equipment alignment and utility connections.Install, maintain, and troubleshoot critical utility and process systems, including air, water, steam, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, and gas delivery systems.Fabricate and install piping and related components using blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.Assist with equipment installation and removal during upgrades, relocations, and scheduled maintenance shutdowns.Use ladders, man lifts, and rescue equipment as required to safely perform maintenance work at elevated locations or in pits.Safely perform work in confined spaces and other challenging environments while using required PPE and safety equipment.Follow all OSHA, state, local, and company safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and elevated work procedures.Perform repairs with an emphasis on quality and long-term equipment functionality to reduce repeat failures and rework.Follow Skana Aluminum’s Quality Management System (QMS) standards during all maintenance and repair activities.Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on tasks.Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to share information, identify opportunities for improvement, and promote best practices.Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and continuous improvement.What We're Looking ForThe successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical abilities, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.Why Join Skana Aluminum?As a Maintenance Technician at Skana Aluminum, you'll play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operation running safely and efficiently.
