Job summary

Premier Aluminum is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep our foundry and machining operations running safely and efficiently. You will diagnose challenges, repair equipment, and work to prevent problems before they happen.

If you take pride in getting to the root cause, we want to hear from you! The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and electrical circuits.
• Ability to diagnose and repair malfunctions.
• Identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Work independently and with a team.
• Effective communication with technicians, operators and management.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Repair structures, electrical systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Program or edit Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Respond to breakdowns to restore equipment quickly.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities.
• Follow safety regulations and procedures.
• Assist Maintenance Manager as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician

• Hiring Multiple Candidates!
• Base Pay: $26.00 +, depending on experience
• Work Hours: Maintenance supports multiple shifts. Candidates may have an opportunity to work with the team to set their own Full-time schedule.

At Premier Aluminum, our Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in keeping our foundry and machining operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. We're looking for a skilled, hands-on problem solver who enjoys diagnosing challenges, repairing equipment, and finding ways to prevent problems before they happen. Primary Functions

Perform a variety of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain and repair structures, electrical systems and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Seeking a proactive individual with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.

Duties and Overall Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
• Perform highly skilled maintenance work to maintain and repair structures, electrical systems and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Program or edit Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
• Respond to breakdowns to quickly restore equipment to operational status
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures
• Assist Maintenance Manager as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position require continuous standing and intermittent walking, bending, sitting, and lifting that may at times be in excess of 50Ibs, up to 100Ibs. The Maintenance Technician should have the physical and mental ability to perform the above necessary job functions while maintaining an exemplary safety record.

Skills and Experience

• Basic math skills – counting, adding, subtracting, multiplication, division
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and the ability to diagnose and repair malfunctions
• In-depth knowledge of various trades
• Ability to quickly identify the root cause of problems and implement effective solutions
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Effective communication skills with other technicians, machine operators and management
• At least three years experience in a manufacturing environment
