Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties in Cameron Creek - Galloway, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our apartment community in top working order. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems, and respond to resident requests.

Join a partner-focused team, participate in on-call rotations and weekend work, conduct inspections, and help with turnovers while upholding safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• EPA/HVAC certifications are a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on property systems.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize work orders.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers and move-ins readiness.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls.
• Participate in on-call rotation; weekend work as needed.

Maintenance Technician

What You'll Do:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.
• Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.
• Perform snow and ice removal.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies.
• Weekend work is required as needed.
• Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.

• HVAC/EPA certifications or similar credentials are a plus, along with a willingness to learn and grow.
