Flaherty & Collins Properties in Petersburg, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep apartment communities running smoothly. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; HVAC/EPA certifications are a plus.

Weekend or after-hours work may be required. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC/EPA certifications preferred.
• Experience in maintenance with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.
• Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.
• Perform snow and ice removal.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Weekend work is required as needed.
• Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.
