Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties in Hamilton, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and address resident requests promptly.

You will join a team-focused environment, participate in on-call rotations, assist with turnovers, and ensure safety and compliance, with opportunities for certification and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC/EPA certifications a plus; willingness to learn and grow.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep property systems and equipment in top condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other building systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests quickly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize work orders.

What You'll Do:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.
• Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.
• Perform snow and ice removal.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Weekend work is required as needed.
• Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.
