Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Cary, NC to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems across a large manufacturing client. This role requires hands-on experience and the ability to read blueprints and manuals, with a focus on safety and compliance.

The technician will inspect infrastructure, maintain boilers and chillers, install electrical fixtures, and respond to urgent maintenance requests.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in facility maintenance
• Working knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical systems and plumbing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Ability to problem-solve and work independently or in a team
• Bachelor's or Associate degree
• Electrical certification / license

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect, diagnose, and correct issues with building infrastructure, equipment, and utilities.
• Maintain boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhaust fans, and other HVAC-related components.
• Install and repair electrical fixtures, outlets, wiring, and lighting systems in compliance with safety codes.
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems including valves, pumps, drains, and fixtures.
• Perform mechanical maintenance on motors, conveyors, compressors, and other equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and emergency calls.
• Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with facility improvement projects, equipment installations, and system upgrades.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of building systems and equipment.
