Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support industrial maintenance for material handling systems, performing preventive and predictive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical power transmission, electrical and PLC/controls.

You will read drawings, use multimeters, and weld/fabricate as needed, with safety training and possibility of flexible shifts. Two years' experience in industrial maintenance is required, with related certificates preferred.

Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics with competency in at least two specialty skills in mechanical power transmission, electrical, or PLC/Controls, with basic welding/fabrication skills.
Related military experience will be considered.
In lieu of experience, related certificates or other degrees may be considered equivalent.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and diagnose faults.
Adhere to all safety standards and participate in trainings.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and PLC/controls schematics.
Utilize Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
May be involved in smaller scope projects.
May work a flexible schedule including all days and shifts as business needs dictate.
