Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support material handling systems and complete preventative and predictive maintenance across mechanical power transmission, electrical, PLC/controls, welding, and fabrication. You will troubleshoot and repair simple issues while adhering to safety standards.

The role includes learning and applying basic electrical and mechanical skills, working with a team, and possibly participating in smaller projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude demonstrated through background or hobbies.
• Two years FedEx Operations Sortation knowledge or enrolled in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics program may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative and predictive maintenance on material handling systems.
• Diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues and repair or replace components.
• Follow safety standards and participate in trainings and safety meetings.
• Assist with maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Contribute to small projects and flexible scheduling as needed.
