Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician II to join our operations and maintenance team at Mossville. Typical work schedule is 1st shift M-F, 6:00am – 2:30pm; weekend hours may be scheduled to support our 24/7 operation.

The role involves safely performing maintenance on building and production equipment, analyzing failures, conducting preventive maintenance, and supporting project and renovation work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Two years of maintenance experience in HVAC/Industrial Mechanical/Machine Repair, or Automotive Repair.
• Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs functions of the position following safety guidelines and PPE.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs facility and production equipment.
• Analyzes equipment failures, inspects, replaces, alters, and maintains building and production services and related equipment.
• Performs planned maintenance on building equipment and related services; keeps stock informed of parts usage.
• Troubleshoots mechanical systems such as HVAC, pumps, RO/DI water systems, and other equipment to minimize downtime.
• Performs preventative maintenance inspections.
• Develops and implements planned maintenance procedures and maintains spare parts inventory.
• Assists in installing, inspecting new equipment and servicing installations.
• Provides support to coworkers, contractors, vendors, project managers, and engineers for projects and renovations.
• Complies with regulations, codes, safety practices, and CMMS procedures.
