Job summary

Amentum in Davenport, IA is seeking a 2nd shift General Maintenance Technician III to respond to work orders, diagnose and perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment in a large industrial environment, including clean rooms. Must be self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

Typical schedule is 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm with potential weekend hours for 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs blowers and fans.
• Welding skills a plus.
• Troubleshoot and repair overhead doors.
• Troubleshoot and repair roll up doors
• Troubleshoot and repair gates and gate arms
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and actions (lubrication, cleaning, filter changes).
• Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical and control systems per CMMS.
• Responds to work orders and communicates status to customers.
• Ensures compliance with codes, regulations, and standards.
• Operates tools and diagnostic equipment to complete tasks.
