Sun Communities is seeking Maintenance Technicians to perform routine and preventive maintenance across our communities. Responsibilities include repairing homes and facilities, managing grounds, irrigation, snow removal, and ensuring curb appeal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in maintenance experience preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience preferred.
• General maintenance knowledge and repair experience preferred.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and endure outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Independent and team-oriented work style.
• Basic computer use (email/internet).
• Willing to work on-call.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to properties.
• Complete minor repairs to rental homes and facilities.
• Inspect irrigation systems and repair as needed.
• Maintain vacant sites and remove trash/debris.
• Remove snow from streets and common areas as applicable.
• Care for lawns and perform landscaping tasks.
• Ensure areas are hazard-free and presentable.
• Operate and maintain water meters and well-water systems where applicable.
• Report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Complete condition checklists before/after occupancy.
• Assist in supervision of contractors.
• Inspect recreational areas and pools for safety and maintenance.
• Assist with move-in/move-out spot checks.
• Maintain community vehicles and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and drive safely between sites.
