Job summary

General Mills is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to provide frontline safety and technically focused leadership on our 2nd shift. You will guide mechanics, build maintenance capability, and relentlessly pursue reliability improvements across the platform.

You will manage daily, weekly, and quarterly metrics, coordinate planning, and drive defects elimination while mentoring team members and sustaining safe production. Opportunity to grow within a global food company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2+ years of manufacturing, frontline leadership, or technical leadership experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration in a team.
• Proven ability to drive results through processes and teamwork.
• Experience reducing losses and improving performance in manufacturing.
• Technical capability with unit operations and machinery.
• Strong communication between work groups and cross-functional teams.
• Foundational knowledge of data analysis systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and human safety initiatives.
• Manage and direct the work of maintenance staff including onboarding and performance.
• Model engaging leadership behaviors and maximize team effectiveness.
• Set clear priorities and goals to deliver platform priorities.
• Foster a supportive, floor-centric team environment for retention.
• Support the 90 Day action plan and drive execution.
• Lead DDS meetings and ensure accurate KPIs and maintenance health.
• Oversee maintenance foundations, DH, BE processes, and documentation.
