Job summary

General Mills Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader for the Cincinnati plant on the 1st shift (7 a.m.–3 p.m.).

You will provide frontline safety and technical leadership to the maintenance team, focusing on defect handling, breakdown elimination, and reliability improvements. You will lead maintenance mechanics, manage staffing and performance, and collaborate with the platform team to drive daily management and KPI delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of manufacturing or leadership experience.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Foundational knowledge of data analysis and maintenance systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, MQIS).
• Experience with maintenance, reliability, and manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and engagement-based technical leadership for maintenance mechanics.
• Direct shift staffing, onboarding, and team development; ensure timely timekeeping.
• Drive daily/weekly/monthly performance reviews and DDS meetings; track metrics.
• Own maintenance foundations systems, defect handling, and breakdown elimination processes.
• Maintain data integrity in Maximo and support planning/scheduling to hit platform results.
