Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work across indoor and outdoor areas of a community. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and manage make-ready tasks for vacant units while upholding Greystar standards of cleanliness and safety.

The role requires high school diploma or related experience, HVAC knowledge, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or related experience and training.
Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
Own hand tools and safe use of tools and equipment.
Ability to diagnose problems and apply solutions.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Proficiency with office software and records management.

Responsibilities

Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and performs routine upkeep.
Oversees make-ready process for vacant units and coordinates vendors.
Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and buildings.
Inspects work for quality and compliance with policies.
Monitors contractors and materials to stay within budget.
Maintains inventory of spare parts and tools.
Performs monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
Assists in budget development for repairs and capital projects.
Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing where possible.
Leads safety meetings and keeps OSHA and safety compliance current.
Provides courteous, responsive service to residents and team members.
