Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the Maintenance Department, coordinating resources and safety, with up to 25 direct reports. The role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and involves on-site leadership, emergency response, and process improvements on a 24/7 operation.

Required: Associate or technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, 4+ years of relevant experience, 2 years in a leadership role, and ability to travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Technical Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field with a minimum of four years relevant experience.
• Two years of previous work experience in a leadership role.
• The ability to travel as needed (Up to 5 percent travel).
• Basic understanding of engineering knowledge and ability to understand engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project or similar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate files in compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
• Administer the preventive maintenance program for all production equipment.
• Organize and control maintenance resources to improve costs and reliability.
• Lead safety, environmental compliance, and quality in personnel.
• Manage outside contractors to supplement in-house resources.
• Schedule training to upgrade personnel skills and expand capabilities.
• Report incidents and implement improvements with leadership.
