Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role focuses on maintenance requests, make-ready processes, and cost-conscious operations.

The selected candidate will start at The Bryant at Buckhead Village, with potential transition to regular employment. Strong tool use, communication, and budgeting collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools and safe use of hand/power tools; state law compliance.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to diagnose and solve problems.
• Customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and team.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate to represent management; answer questions.
• Familiarity with internet, word processing, spreadsheets; PM system preferred.
• Mathematical skills for financial, administrative, and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and diagnose defects.
• Oversee the make-ready process for vacant units; schedule vendors and inspect work.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance reflecting Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect coworkers' work; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Inspect contractors to verify quality and compliance with scope.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and materials; coordinate with manager on supplies.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
• Lead safety meetings; maintain MSDS and OSHA compliance.
• Provide courteous, responsive customer service to residents and team.
