Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and to lead maintenance staff in improving processes and training. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional night and weekend overtime and on-the-job training provided.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, inspect equipment, manage preventive maintenance, and partner with the Production Manager to control the budget for building and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating, parts management, vendor management, and maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action by checking blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and associated control systems.
• Follow blueprints and engineering specifications using a documented schedule.
• Manage and assign maintenance tasks and oversee safety and regulatory compliance.
