Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and to improve maintenance processes and training. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with periodic night/weekend overtime and on-the-job training.

You will diagnose issues using blueprints and manuals, inspect and test equipment, perform basic welding, and supervise maintenance staff while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Minimum 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Minimum 2 years supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics; English maintenance literature
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding for repairs on facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow blueprints and manuals with documented schedule.
• Manage maintenance budget with Production Manager and supervise staff
