Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment runs efficiently and to lead maintenance staff. The role covers diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues, supervising preventive maintenance, and improving maintenance practices.

Occasional night/weekend overtime is required, with on-the-job training provided. You will oversee safety, regulatory compliance, and budgeting, while collaborating with Production Manager to manage building and equipment needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in production.
• 2+ years of supervising maintenance staff preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints/schematics; MS Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical/electrical issues and determine corrective actions from manuals and schematics.
• Inspect and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
• Manage preventive maintenance for facility/production assets.
• Oversee maintenance scheduling, budgeting and parts/vendor management.
