Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Supervisor to join our UniFirst community. You will oversee the maintenance team and ensure facility equipment runs efficiently, while identifying areas for process improvements and training.

The role follows a standard Monday–Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime; on‑the‑job training is provided to support growth and safety in a dynamic facility environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• At least 3 years' experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Minimum 2 years supervising maintenance personnel.
• Maintenance administration including planning, scheduling and budgeting is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facilities and production assets.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance across shifts and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain records using a computerized maintenance management system.
